Quick update on happenings in Lonestar world.

1. Jerseys: Dave Edge will be bringing them back with him from Aus, they should arrive by next weekend in time for our Baton Rouge game.  When they arrive, we will have some sort of event like a BBQ so hand out individual jumpers and all round drink fest to celebrate our identity.

2. Netball: The Houston Shooting Stars Netball Team and Team USA (university Games Team) are holding a fund raising function to get the girls to South Africa, we would love The Lonestars to be part of.

We will have great lucky door prizes, raffles, cocktail food and drinks at happy hour prices.

3. Games: Next game is Baton Rouge on the 12th May, followed by a home game v Austin on the 19th May. Keep an eye on the Schedule page on the site for other planned games: http://houstonfooty.com/node/337

4. Dues: Remember to pay your club dues, we are purchasing club polos and stubby holders soon, need your dues for that (part of dues goes towards a polo amongst other things): http://www.payitsquare.com/collect-page/4763

5. Atlanta: are hosting a football carnival on the Memorial day weekend, I know a few of you expressed interest in playing, see details here:  http://www.downunderfest.com/schedule/sports/

Guys - training is on tomorrow at Bendwood Park at 6:30pm. 

I didn't hear from many (almost none of you!!) of you regarding availability for this weekends game, please email me ASAP if you are planning on playing, we have a couple guys driving there and back on the day if you need a ride.

Post match function - Tap Room downtown @ 7pm.  $15 p/person gets you a meat pie & sausage roll & discounted drinks.
